All Teachers Granted an Official Leave By TSC.

The teachers’ employer Teachers’ Service Commission (TSC) has official granted all teachers in secondary and primary schools leave as elections come in next week,

This comes after the ministry of education gave a directive to all primary and secondary schools be closed to on Tuesday 2nd August 2022 to allow for preparation of next Tuesday’s August 9th general elections.

The TSC CEO Dr. Nancy Macharia wrote to all county and sub-county education directors to ensure teachers more especially those contracted by the IEBC to administer the August 9 elections to be allowed to go on Leave.

According to Dr. Nancy Macharia, all teachers will report back to school on August 11 2022, when schools are reopened or as would be advised by the IEBC.

All students in the country will be on mid-term break between Tuesday, August 2 and Wednesday, August 10.
