The only requirement to show when a teacher enters or exits his or her working station is the Entry/ Exit returns, often known as Casualty. Following the TSC’s abolition of manual filing of the casualties, Heads of Institutions will be expected to submit them online starting in September

ENTRY/ EXIT RETURNS
These are returns filled and filed by the head teachers, administrators or authorized officers entrusted with the responsibility by the Commission for onward respective processing at the Head Office and proper communications on issues like interdiction, injunction, suspension etc undertaken. (Exit/ Entry Returns can only be accessed once Logged In by Head of Institution).

Reporting for Duty
Upon employment, the teacher is required to report to the duty station within two weeks from the date of posting. The head of institution should then promptly submit a Casualty Return to the TSC headquarters.

Appointment to payroll
The effective date of appointment should not be earlier than the one indicated in the letter of offer of employment. The salary entry point, grade and automatic allowances will be based on qualifications and previous experience.

ACCESSING THE SYSTEM
- Visit the TSC website at https://www.tsc.go.ke to access the portal. A teacher posting and entry/exit link can be found under the online service menu.
- Once you’ve logged in, enter your TSC No. in the section provided, then click the next button to continue.
- To finish the process, enter your unique password here and click the Login button.
