KCPE candidate writes exams in hospital after giving birth
Exams are written by KCPE candidates in hospitals following childbirth.
On Monday, a 17-year-old KCPE applicant completed her exam at Lodwar County Referral Hospital.
The incidence has been confirmed by Joseph Epem, Director of the Lodwar County Referral Hospital (LCRH).
According to Epem, a 17-year-old Lodwar Township Ward resident gave birth to a healthy child last Friday.
“We have one student, a 17-year-old KCPE candidate who is doing her exams at the maternity wing, this is because the candidate was defiled,” he stated.
“We want the perpertraitor to be arrested and face the law so that we can reduce the cases of underage pregnancies.”
Her aunt, who is caring for them in the facility, is pleading for well-wishers to assist in meeting the child’s most basic needs.
