Kenya Institute for Public Policy Research and Analysis (KIPPRA) is a state corporation
established by an Act of parliament – KIPPRA Act No. 15 of 2006, with a primary mandate of providing quality policy advice to the Government of Kenya, and other key stakeholders by conducting policy research and analysis and through capacity building, in order to contribute to the achievements of national long term development objectives.
Kenya Institute for Public Policy Research and Analysis invites applications from qualified
candidates for the following  positions:

Job Title Senior Accounts Assistant (One position)

Job Grade KIP 7
Basic Salary Scale KES 71,273 – 100,536 per month
Department Finance
Supervisor Accountant
Position Summary The Senior Accounts Assistant supports the Finance department in the planning, coordinating and controlling the Institute’s financial resources in accordance with government policies, procedures to ensure accountability; and ensure compliance with the Public Finance Management Act and Regulations in management of the Institute financial resources.
Key Responsibilities
(i) Preparing payment vouchers, imprests and committal documents in accordance
with laid down financial rules and regulations;
(ii) Carrying out bank reconciliation;
(iii) Examining payment vouchers and committal documents in accordance with laid
down financial rules and regulations;
(iv) Verifying data entered into cashbooks, ledgers, vote books, registers;
(v) Verifying and receipting of all monies due and payable to the Institute;
(vi) Safe custody of accountable documents under his/her sections(s);
(vii)Ensuring proper maintenance of efficient filling systems; and
(viii)Safe keeping of invoices, receipts and other accounts records.
Qualifications
(i) Minimum of CPA III or equivalent qualification from a recognized Institution
(ii) Computer skills;
(iii) Have at least three (3) years working experience in a relevant field;
(iv) Shown merit and ability as reflected in work performance and results; and
(v) Fulfil the requirements of Chapter six (6) of the Constitution.
