Official KNEC  registration of candidates who will be taking 2022 examinations and assessments, which will be held in November and December , this year is officially ongoing as per to the education ministry guidelines.

Above exercise started on 27th Wednesday and  directed to end on May 14. This is according to Education Cabinet Secretary George Magoha.

In the above registration exercise,3 categories will register i.e the Kenya Primary School Education Assessment (KPSEA), Kenya Certificate of Primary Education (KCPE), the Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE), and KCSE Qualifying Test.

Further directions on the same from the CS. Education indicate that all  candidates will be registered online by their respective Head Teachers, and that offline registration would not be an optional.

Cs. Magoha also asked school heads to provide correct information on learners with special needs during the registration and verification of registration of candidates.

Magoha further directed  that  the involvement of parents and guardians during the verification of KPSEA and KCPE candidates was important.

In the process of registration, all schools should capture the names of the candidates correctly as they will be used in other examinations.

In addition, School heads and Sub County Directors of Education to ensure accuracy of the correct name of the candidate as per the birth certificate; gender; year of birth; citizenship; subjects entered. once registration of students is completed then no transfer will not be allowed.

However, professor  said that  special cases related to illness and insecurity will be handled appropriately once brought to the attention of KNEC through the SCDE.

N/B. Deadline for registration is may 14th 2022.
