Kenya’s school year 2023. The third term academic calendar for the 2023 National Examinations has been made public by the Ministry of Education.

This year’s third term will end earlier than usual for schools due to the final exams.

All schools will start tests on October 30 according to a statement released by the Basic Education Principal Secretary of the Ministry of Education.

The ps asserts that the government is dedicated to ensuring that third-term learning is not interrupted.

To guarantee that the calendar runs well, he further stated that the government will pay all required capitation monies to schools.

Government funding for education

The National Treasury has paid the Ministry of Education Ksh16,249,982,722.28 billion in capitation payments to students in :

  • public Primary,
  • Junior, and
  • Secondary institutions.

According to PS Kipsang, free elementary education will receive Ksh1.56 billion, while junior secondary schools will receive Ksh1.75 billion in capitation funds.

Additionally, Free Day Secondary Education will receive capitation of Ksh12.9 billion. Kenyan school year 2023

By September 20th, 2023, money will be wired to each school account, the Ministry has confirmed. This will enable smooth implementation of targeted learning activities. Read the report in part.
