Postgraduate Scholarships Announced by HELB ; Application Instructions

It’s not too late to apply for a Higher Education Loans Board (HELB) scholarship if you’re a student enrolled in a postgraduate program (Master’s or Ph.D.) at one of the area’s public or private universities.
The scholarship grant for master’s and doctoral students is worth Ksh200,000 and Ksh450,000, respectively, according to a statement from HELB.

For a Masters program, the scholarship is good for two years, and for a Ph.D. program, it’s good for three years.
On the site’s payment option, each applicant must submit a Ksh3,000 non-refundable fee.

The application deadline has been set for August 31, 2022.

Eligibility
Students who are interested in the scholarships must have earned an upper division undergraduate degree with at least Second-Class Honors.

Additionally, preference will be given to candidates pursuing careers in science, technology, engineering, mathematics, innovation, and fisheries (STEM IF).
A letter of acceptance into a full-time or part-time postgraduate university program is required of the candidate.

How to apply
The HELB Postgraduate Scholarship application form is accessible on the Student Portal following registration.
The applicant must open the Postgraduate Scholarship Application, register, and complete it (PGSA).

Click to submit the application once it has been finished, then download and print the PGSA.
Proceed to have the PGSA signed and stamped by the proper authorities and attach all necessary paperwork in accordance with the checklist’s instructions.

Scan the whole PGSA in PDF format, including any attachments, as one document.
Email the scanned PDF version to [email protected].
