TSC modifies promotion openings to favor teachers.
In a significant event, the Teachers Service Commission has extended the deadline for applications for promotional openings open to educators this year.
The application deadline, which was originally set for September 8th, has been extended until September 15th, giving more than 36,000 teachers an excellent opportunity to submit their applications.
These adjustments, which come as a result of lengthy compensation negotiations, will affect teachers in both elementary and secondary schools as well as those who work in teacher preparation programs.
Surprisingly, KES 1 billion has already been set aside by the National Treasury to fund these campaigns.
There are a variety of exciting promotional opportunities available, including 12,716 senior master positions, 10,819 senior teacher positions in traditional primary schools,
700 senior teacher positions in facilities that cater to students with special needs, 216 senior lecturer positions at the prestigious grade C4 level in teacher training colleges, 108 senior principal positions, and 34 chief principal positions.
Teachers who are interested in developing their careers are urged to apply as soon as possible through the TSC portal before the previously indicated extended deadline.
Undoubtedly, this extension gives educators a wider window of opportunity to take advantage of these opportunities to advance their careers.
