Tsc interview schedule for promotions. To be utilized during the promotion interviews, a new marking system has been announced by the Teachers Service Commission, or TSC.
The performance at the Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) examination results have received more weight in the new marking scheme.
Now, teachers who achieved a mean score of 11 or higher could receive up to 20 marks.

1. ACADEMIC AND PROFESSIONAL QUALIFICATIONS

- Understanding of the Code of Regulations for Teachers as well as the Code of Conduct and Ethics. – 4 Marks
Tsc promotion interview scheme
Curriculum Development, Implementation and Evaluation
- Knowledge of Curriculum development, Implementation, Supervision and Evaluation (with reference to SAGA’s such as KICD, TSC, KLB, KNEC etc) – 10 Marks
Knowledge of Educational Policies
Other Stakeholders’ Role in Education (Including Local Governments) – 5 Points
Education Trends – 5 Points
3. MANAGEMENT AND LEADERSHIP SKILLS
Responsibilities

Patrons of Clubs and Societies, Class Teacher, House Teacher etc. – 4 Marks

Institutional Administration and Management
- General Institution Administration (e.g Resource Utilization) – 10 Marks
- Institutional Financial Management (e.g Knowledge of Institutional Financial Management and Procurement Procedure) – 10 Marks

The outcomes of the analysis should be validated by the principals.
The score will be calculated using either the subject Mean Score or the Improvement Index from the previous or current station (whichever is higher).

Note~its clear that more emphasis has been placed on performance at the Kenya Certificate of SecondaryEducation (KCSE) examination results. Teachers who have recorded a mean score of 11 and above will now earn a maximum of 20 marks.
