TSC SENT A MEMO TO EVERY TEACHER CONCERNING TRANSFERS FOR 2023 AND 2024.
Transfers approved by TSC for 2023. The Teachers Service Commission decided not to transfer foreign teachers employed in North Eastern despite the protests of the tutors.
Due to a lack of qualified replacements, the TSC wrote letters of regret to the teachers explaining that it was unable to transfer them.
The instructors who received the letter of apology from TSC claimed that their employer had told them to report to their desks by September 9 or face disciplinary action.
For the past two weeks, teachers from the counties of Wajir, Garissa, and Mandera have been camped out at the TSC offices in Upper Hill.
“TSC has acknowledged your request to be transferred out of the North Eastern region. The TSC expressed disappointment in a letter to one of the professors, “Your request is consequently refused due to the unavailability of a suitable replacement.
In order to avoid disciplinary action against you, you are consequently instructed to report to your workstation by September 7, 2023.
One of the affected teachers claims that TSC has sent remorse letters to about 100 teachers.
To protest the lack of security, the instructors persisted in remaining inside the commission’s main office.

One of the teachers remarked, “I was hired and deployed to Wajir county in 2020, and everything was well until the situation started to deteriorate early this year.
With nearly 27,000 teachers waiting to be transferred to their home counties as a result of the delocalization policy’s repeal, TSC has already implemented a localization program.
