TSC TIMEC TEACHER TRAINING BEGINS. A COMPLETE TRAINING SCHEDULE, VENUES, AND DATES PER COUNTY

Circular for TSC TIMEC training. The country’s largest teacher employer, Teachers Service Commission (TSC), has started teacher training activities in a variety of zones within its sub-counties.

The Teacher Induction Mentorship and Coaching (TIMEC) program is how the commission plans to train new teachers.

According to the commission, the goal of the mentoring and coaching program is to boost teachers’ performance in their areas of accountability.

TSC anticipates that at least one teacher, one deputy principal, and one school principal will enroll in the course.

While some sub-counties have already started their training, all must finish it this week.

Teachers who want to ride this train must register with the TSC’s Nairobi office.

Teachers who regularly take part in the mentorship program will have an edge when promotion opportunities arise, according to past TSC statements.

A certificate will be given to teachers who finish the TSC mentorship training successfully.

For formality reasons, this might be provided during a job interview because it gives them more credit.

The Commission has developed a structure and policy to steer the project.

The Commission states that instructors who finish the program successfully will be entitled for a range of benefits and incentives.

A certificate of completion for the mentorship and coaching program will be given to participating teachers;

The fact that it is employed in rewards for recognition, teacher appointments, and promotions is an advantage.

In accordance with the TPD policy framework and the career development requirements, the teacher mentor and the mentee will each receive TPD points.

The TIMEC is a systematic program for supporting teachers that has a focus on preventive measures for the administration of teacher performance and professional conduct.

The TIMEC program was developed by TSC as a component of a larger effort to enhance teachers’ professional conduct and practices.

The curriculum aims to :

  • improve teachers’ competencies and abilities,
  • as well as their understanding of the laws, regulations, policies, procedures, values, and
  • norms that regulate the teaching profession.
