The Teacher Service Commission (TSC) has introduced a new replacement program for instructors who retire for natural reasons.
Dr. Jamleck Muturi, Chairman of TSC, announced that there were vacancies to replace teachers who retired due to natural attrition.
Speaking at a press conference at Tambach College of Education, Mr Muturi revealed that the government will prioritize areas with teacher shortages in the recruitment and deployment process.
He pointed out that although the country lacks about 100,000 teachers, the government regularly creates opportunities to hire 5,000 new teachers each year.
