Withheld Oriwo Boys’ 2021 KCSE results released
The students and teachers of Oriwo Boys’ High School in Homa Bay County have reason to smile after a month of being on the verge of missing out on the 2021 KCSE results.
Results of the school had been withheld while KNEC and the Ministry of Education investigated claims of exam misconduct.
The exams were taken by 549 candidates at the institution.
The school received an average mark of 8.215 (B minus), with ten of the top candidates receiving an A- (minus).
This school has scored a mean grade of 8.215 (B minus), with ten of the leading candidates posting a mean grade of A-(minus).
With the 549 candidates, 10 had A-(minus), 61 B+(plus), 152 B (plain), 167 B-(minus), 130 C+(plus), 26 C (plain) and two C-(minus).
The Twenty-eight (28) of the students did not attain the minimum university admission grade of C+ (plus), meaning the school took 521 candidates (95.1 per cent) to university.
Oriwo Boys’ High School students and staff broke into song and dance on Friday evening, May 13, when they finally received their results, which would easily rank them among Kenya’s top 100 schools in the 2021 KCSE exam.
